Since early days of WAR I have got many signs but I have not note them all. Here
are some of them. I have got sign for Iraqi solders whom gave up the WAR. I have

Today is 17th of Marts and every 17th is Dear Day of GOD Names for me. So, I start by Dear Name of GOD, The One Who create us with our brain which is most complex computing unit and DNA which is smallest transportable data storage media. DNA work like self extractable zip files.
There is Cebit in Germany, Computer Market is not up as usual and I had allot of troubles with my PC. My recent troubles with my PC made me see some of main troubles in this business. Some days ago, I was reading PHP and MySQL manuals. These are two good charge free products but my words is not about any specific product. My words is about missing standard in computer business.
Problem of Missing Standard is a hide problem, but it is biggest problem
of Computer science and market.
Missing standard is one of the most expensive waist of computer market. We are
in 2003 and still there are hundreds of programming languages each with their
own Market, Cover Area, Syntax, Editor, Compiler and etc. Think how much each
company or man waist energy, time, and money to learn this or that limited
useable languages and programs. Once every European country had its own currency
today all have only Euro, ask yourself why? Many business people still like to
avoid use of computer in their business because they do not feel secure with
computer enough to let it take their business administration and control in
hand. They cannot code and they do not like to be come code man dependent and
let them take their control in hand.
Why, there must not be only one standard programming language work on all programmable products and cover all programming areas. In such case every students have to learn programming once and for all and soon programming become a high school course like any other high school course. How much money do you thing it will save you, if you jump needed knowledge to use computer in all levels. As far as I know even one of biggest expenses of Computer companies it self is educating their people. If a standard programming language, standard products and standard user interface take over the market, it will at least save up to 2 years of computer education and this is talk about saving in milliards class. Car companies can not build Asphalt roads but it was Asphalt roads which has save allot of money in one side and had increased the car market in another side.
Make the words short, Computer business must pay for proper new age standard of whole computer science, from bottom up, from Hardware design and micro programming in cheap level up to programming in windows level. From input output of every device to its user interface and help and etc. Standards must guarantee each device do its standard job full field in all its details, and each device can have place for new progress as far as they can reach without make damage to standard functionality. Every year or more new and good progresses can or must become new standards and again as before, field must be open for new progress without make damage to reached standard. In that way, If there is a standard called STANDARD PC1 all hardware and software with STANDARD PC1 mark must work with each other no matter what. And so STANDARD PC2 and etc.
Some products like IBM PS1, PS2, windows Operative systems have became a less or more standards and you can see their marks on every soft or hardware device. But, IBM or Microsoft are a privet companies and not SO. Microsoft neither has any power or will to go after all these companies to check them out. It is SO job to draw the standards and force the market to keep it.
Computer market must invest big money on SO to implement over told. This money must gathered from all Computer market as taxes for standardization. Taxes must paid by companies and not increase product prices for customers. Asphalt roads of computing must get build. And do not think I am causing you a new expense. No, Standardization taxes is not a expense but an investment to earn over told saving in soon future. Neither any car company nor any country has lost over roads became asphalt. Computer business has reached where that it lose over missing infrastructure facilities which are standards as over told.
Once my teacher said COBOL programming language meant to be a language which you can take people from street and heir them as programmer. Yes, today you do not hire from street but you sell your products in street. So from now on, you must have in mind to build for street people and not universities computer scientists. What you make must be from bottom to up for your new customers and in their language. As easy as they learn driving, they must learn computing. As every one open door of his/her car motor, held water or check oil they must become familiar with opening, installing tuning and programming their computers. Today, people can find out how to program their video to record, computer must become even easier for them and not only in interface but in all has made that interface and the layer under it and the layer under it and etc.
Computer SO must as well be beside authority to permit marketing a product
or company or remove its permission as well as authority to control the products
prices.
Another problem in Computer market is irresponsible cheap products
marketing. Recently, I have bought a Medion Laptop, It is a good product, its
hard and software are well tuned together and I know I will not have trouble
with it. Medion will support it in its life time too. But before I buy my
Laptop, I have gathered a PC by buying separated devices and put it together. It
work but from the first day, I had trouble with it and still I am in its
troubles.
Microsoft and IBM compatibles were on one side and Apple was on other side. Apple were on believe to produce and sell both soft and hardware as one computer. Today, Most IBM compatible companies and Microsoft has become Apple themselves. Idea of Modular computer in practice neither work nor is economic any more.
Lets remember what was modular IBM compatible PC. It meant if you need Ethernet cart you buy a for example Ethernet cart and put it in your PC and it work, regardless of who has fabricated the card. But, today at least there are 5 different windows Operative systems which cart must be compatible with. So idea is already lost. On every new Windows many of these regardless who has fabricated lose their compatibility while, Apple type IBM compatible products try to support their products as well as they can, otherwise they lose their market.
Once Computer market came with electronic on changeable prints because, it was not payable to repairer prints electronics, change it was more economic. Because of same policy changeable parts hardware has got moved to software, because Software is charge free updateable. Today some of these cheap hardware producers are on this believe that it is not payable to update even these cheap products drivers, instead you must buy their new products. They produce their products for new operative systems but they do not give any support for what they have sold yesterday. Market is international and without any control and they easily get away with it.
But who do you think will be the final loser than these single device makers. In these days which Medion, Dell, Packard Bell, IBM Compaq and all others sell their tuned and supported products so cheap that you cannot gather a computer with same price by buying separated devices the last loser only will be these cheap product producers self. These companies have to use good and supported devices and support what they sell to save their own market.
Computer SO must stop these type of market abuse too. Every product must support backward and near forward unless it be impossible. Only such companies must be aloud to market their products.
But does always big companies support their 3. part products. No, I have bought my trouble full Net cart from TDC which is well known and is my phone and ADSL provider. TDC sell these cheap hardware without giving support for what they sell. It is wrong. If you sell a product with 3. part products in it, you must support all 3. parts hard and software devices that you have used in your product. In other words it is TDC whom next time must buy and sell from a device producer that is more proper and forward and backward support its products. Computer SO must control small as big companies. TDC is a Danish company and all I know about computing and its standards I have learned in Denmark, in other words TDC marketing support less devices is not Danish class of business.
If you Search in Yahoo for TDC Ethernet cart Unex ND010 you will find 134 links. Do you think if Unex had offered a well supported device was there so much links about it in Yahoo. Let say for each link at least 10 people in one week had trouble with this device. How much is salary of 1340 people in one week. All because someone has produced something and did not support it well. All because there is no Computing SO to control this market. Problem get worse if you look for AC 97, there are 2.060.000 links about it. A proper SO is what which save this money and headaches.
Number of over told links talk as well about missing standard in this business, there are 1000 of hard and soft ware and each dance only with its own music. Those standards which exist are in fact only electronic standards and not computing. They talk only about physical Jacks and maximum about pins voltage and what they are reserved for. There are few network standards too.
Missing standards has left standards to companies and they have tried to keep a sort of standard but they are not SO. SO must go to Hardware, SO must go inside the Chip, CPU and every device. SO must standardize what ever has an instruction to use, tune or install. SO must standardize every command, driver or Input out put Variable. Today's SO live in Transistor time while Computer has reached P4. In fact it must be SO the one who publish programming language book and Installation of its PC types. Hard and software must only work by SO instructions.
